Did you know that only 8% of resolutions are kept?


First, let’s look at why we make resolutions.

Usually, they come from regret. A year has gone by and we regret having wasted another year. Weight is gained – not lost. Money doesn’t increase – debt does. Organization is less – not more. We didn’t finish that novel – we didn’t even start it.

We’ve all said it…

This year is going to be different!

This year is going to be our year!

We are going to do this, this, and this and our year is going to be amazing.

We set goals (resolutions) but that is just the first step in accomplishing anything in life. Setting a goal is just a desire if it lacks an action plan. A goal without a deadline is just a dream.

We are doomed if we don’t treat resolutions as goals that we are determined to accomplish.

We have to use a definite process for setting and accomplishing goals.
